Virtual reality is swiftly becoming the future of gaming. The technology is still relatively new, but is developing at breakneck speeds, making VR experiences better and more realistic as time goes on and as better-quality hardware becomes available. Setting up your system is a fundamental part of VR gaming and you need to make sure that you have the right components, the most important being the graphics card. With the ever increasing size of games, the demand for faster data access has become more important - after all no one wants to sit there for 5 minutes waiting for a game to load. Depending on your budget, the bigger the hard drive the better, certainly if you’re into VR games, as they generally take up a lot of space. We recommend a minimum drive size of two terabytes (2 TB). Choosing the right type of drive is just as important, and you also have to consider the cost.

The best VR Headset for you might be completely different to the one used by your friend. There are many different types of VR headsets, many of which offer different features, with prices ranging from £1,000, such as the Valve Index, right down to £7 for a cheap cardboard version. There are some relatively low-cost headsets that work with smartphones. At the other end of the scale there are high-end VR headsets that link up to gaming PCs for playing high fidelity, AAA VR games and experiences. The popular, trending headset is the Oculus Quest 2, a standalone VR headset that doesn't have wires.

Xbox Series X: Game Console; Microsoft has said that the Xbox Series X will be released during “Holiday 2020” (Black Friday Sales) so it is likely to appear on our shelves somewhere between the end of autumn and the beginning of winter.
